Publication Ethics
NUHA-JIRE is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the COPE Core Practices. All parties involved (authors, editors, reviewers, and publisher) are expected to uphold the following duties.
Duties of Authors
- Submit original work that has not been published or is not under consideration elsewhere.
- Report data accurately; fabrication, falsification, and manipulation of data are serious misconduct.
- Cite all sources properly and avoid plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and duplicate publication.
- List as authors only those who contributed significantly; all co-authors must approve the final version.
- Disclose funding sources and any conflict of interest.
- Obtain ethical approval and informed consent for research involving human participants, especially minors and students.
- Disclose the use of generative AI according to the journal's AI Policy.
- Notify the editor promptly of any significant error discovered after submission or publication.
Duties of Editors
- Evaluate manuscripts solely on scholarly merit, regardless of authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
- Keep manuscripts confidential and declare any conflict of interest; manuscripts by editors are handled by another editor.
- Ensure every published article has undergone peer review by qualified reviewers.
- Investigate allegations of misconduct according to COPE flowcharts and publish corrections or retractions when needed.
Duties of Reviewers
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely assessments.
- Treat manuscripts as confidential documents and never upload them to AI tools or share them.
- Decline a review when a conflict of interest exists or the topic is outside their expertise.
- Alert the editor to substantial similarity with other works or suspected misconduct.
Duties of the Publisher
Universitas Nurul Huda guarantees the editorial independence of NUHA-JIRE, supports the long-term preservation of its content, and ensures that no commercial or institutional interest affects editorial decisions.
Corrections and Retractions
Errors are corrected through a published erratum. Articles containing serious misconduct are retracted with a clear retraction notice linked to the original article, which remains accessible and is marked "Retracted".
