Author Guidelines

Please read these guidelines carefully and use the [link template .docx] before submitting.

General Requirements

  • Manuscripts are original research or critical studies within the Focus and Scope, not previously published or under review elsewhere.
  • Written in Indonesian or English; length 5,000–8,000 words including references.
  • Submitted through the OJS system in .docx format using the journal template; author identities removed from the file for blind review.
  • Each author may publish only one article per issue as first author.

Author Diversity

To ensure a broad scholarly community, NUHA-JIRE aims for the majority of articles in every issue to come from authors outside Universitas Nurul Huda. Collaboration among authors from different institutions and countries is encouraged.

Article Structure

  1. Title: concise and informative, maximum 15 words.
  2. Authors: full names without titles, affiliation, city, country, ORCID, and corresponding e-mail.
  3. Abstract: 150–250 words in English (and Indonesian for Indonesian articles), covering purpose, method, findings, and contribution.
  4. Keywords: 3–5 terms.
  5. Introduction: background, state of the art, research gap, novelty, and objectives.
  6. Method: design, participants or sources, data collection, and analysis.
  7. Results and Discussion: findings compared critically with previous studies.
  8. Conclusion: answers the objectives, implications, limitations, and recommendations.
  9. Acknowledgment (optional), Author Contributions, Conflict of Interest, and AI Disclosure (if applicable).
  10. References.

References

  • APA 7th Edition, managed with a reference manager (Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote).
  • Minimum 25 references; at least 80% primary sources (journal articles, research reports, theses) and at least 80% published within the last 10 years.
  • Include DOIs for all references that have one.
  • Arabic transliteration follows the journal's transliteration guide.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines and uses the journal template.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The similarity index is no more than 20% (Turnitin).
  • Any use of generative AI is disclosed in accordance with the AI Policy.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness, follow APA 7th Edition, and include DOIs where available.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Author identities have been removed from the manuscript file for double-blind review.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
