AI Policy
NUHA-JIRE recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools can support research and writing, but their use must not undermine academic integrity, originality, or accountability.
For Authors
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of the content.
- AI may be used for language editing, translation, and formatting. Any use beyond this (e.g., generating text, summarizing literature, analyzing data) must be disclosed in a statement before the References section, naming the tool, version, and purpose.
- Generating, altering, or fabricating research data, interview transcripts, images, or references with AI is prohibited and treated as research misconduct.
- All references must be verified by the authors; nonexistent or inaccurate references generated by AI will lead to rejection.
For Reviewers and Editors
- Manuscripts must not be uploaded to generative AI tools, as this breaches confidentiality.
- Review reports must reflect the reviewer's own judgment.
Screening
The editorial team may screen manuscripts for undisclosed AI-generated content, fabricated data, or fabricated references during the initial check. Manuscripts that violate this policy will be declined; violations discovered after publication will be handled according to the Publication Ethics policy.
