This study analyzes the feminist elements in Kendare Blake’s novel Three Dark Crowns using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research aims to explore how the novel critiques patriarchal structures through its depiction of gender dynamics, the organization of power, and symbolic traditions. The study applies feminist analysis to interpret the narrative and uncover themes such as female autonomy, solidarity, and the impact of societal expectations on women. The results show that the novel depicts the three queens' (Katharine, Mirabella, and Arsinoe) problems as a mirror of women's lives in patriarchal cultures. The fatal custom that forces the queens to compete symbolizes how patriarchy strains women's relationships. Moments of empathy and solidarity show up in spite of these pressures, indicating that women may be able to band together to fight oppressive institutions. Furthermore, the queens' exceptional talents represent the unrealized potential of women, yet their inability to control them emphasizes the limitations imposed by social norms. Three Dark Crowns examines how patriarchal systems abuse women's potential, impede their autonomy, and foster competition among them through its intricate story. At the same time, it highlights how solidarity and group opposition may challenge gender conventions and bring about societal change. This study encourages readers to consider the larger challenges faced by women in patriarchal institutions by highlighting the novel's significance as a work of fiction and a commentary on current gender issues.
