Abstract

This survey study aims to examine the benefits of using ChatGPT in the learning process among English Education students at Baturaja University. The population consisted of 91 students from the English Education Study Program.The researcher utilized convenience sampling as 45 filled the instrument given. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 16 statements across five indicators, employing a four-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed descriptively using percentages. Based on the the data recapitulation, the researchers identified varying levels of agreement among English students regarding the benefits of utilizing ChatGPT in the learning process. Specifically, 28% of the students strongly agreed, 57% agreed, 13% disagreed, and 2% strongly disagreed with the advantages associated with ChatGPT. It can be concluded that the integration of ChatGPT into students’ educational journey proved advantageous in improving their understanding of the subject matter and acted as a catalyst for their motivation to gain fresh insights and knowledge.
