Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada Pengembangan modul pembelajaran dengan pendekatan berbasis masalah bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis kelas IX SMPN 4 Mesuji Makmur pada topik tekanan zat. Modul divalidasi oleh ahli untuk kelayakan dan diuji kepraktisanya melalui respon siswa. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model 4-D yang mencakup tahap Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate untuk mengembangkan modul secara sistematis dan valid. Modul divalidasi oleh 3 ahli , yakni ahli kurikulum, ahli pedagogi, dan ahli materi dengan skor rata-rata 89% dalam kategori sangat baik. Uji kepraktisan pada 30 siswa kelas IX SMPN 4 Mesuji Makmur menunjukkan 85% kemudahan penggunaan, 82% keterlibatan siswa, 81% motivasi belajar, 85% kejelasan instruksional dan 86% kesesuaian materi. Kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis meningkat signifikan dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,72 termasuk kategori tinggi. Modul pembelajaran ini valid dan praktis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis
