Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the quality of teachers’ learning through mentoring in developing PowerPoint (PPT) using the Canva application at MI Nurul Huda Sukaraja. The main problem faced by the partner school was teachers’ limited ability to create engaging digital learning media that match students’ characteristics. The implementation method employed a participatory mentoring approach consisting of needs analysis, planning, mentoring implementation, and evaluation with follow-up. The outputs of the activity were Canva-based learning PPTs independently developed by teachers. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ skills in designing more attractive, structured, and comprehensible PPTs. In addition, the mentoring increased teachers’ motivation and confidence in utilizing digital media as learning resources. Therefore, mentoring in PPT development using Canva is effective in enhancing teachers’ competencies and promoting instructional innovation in Islamic elementary schools.
