Abstract

Radicalism and intolerance have the potential to target the younger generation, including mosque youth. This community service aims to empower the youth of Al-I’mal Mosque to become role models of religious moderation in their school environment through the internalization of the values of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah (Aswaja), which promotes mercy for all creation (rahmatan lil 'alamin). The implementation method involves participatory outreach activities, including interactive lectures, focus group discussions (FGDs), and role-playing simulations to resolve socio-religious conflicts. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' understanding of the essence of religious moderation aligned with Aswaja values, such as tasamuh (tolerance), tawassuth (moderation), and i'tidal (justice/equity). Participants were not only able to identify various forms of radicalism but also design strategies to become peace agents in their schools. This activity concludes that a cultural approach through Aswaja values is effective in protecting youth from extremist ideologies and strengthening their role as ambassadors of religious moderation in educational spaces
