This community service initiative aims to strengthen the moral development of students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Furqon Pisang Baru, Way Kanan, through guided learning of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning). Selected texts such as Ta’lim al-Muta’allim and Bidayatul Hidayah were chosen for their rich content on ethics, spiritual discipline, and Islamic manners. The core issue identified was the limited internalization of these moral teachings into the students’ daily behavior. The program was implemented through intensive mentoring, reflective discussions, and practical integration of values into daily pesantren activities. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding and application of Islamic moral values, reflected in more responsible and ethical behavior. This initiative demonstrates that contextual and experiential learning of classical texts can serve as an effective model for sustainable character education in Islamic boarding schools.
